IN-PERSON THERAPy, SELF-Paced learning & AT-HOME practiceS
Learn to feel your feelings, regulate your nervous system, and deepen your emotional capacity.
Get to the heart of complex stress - gently, slowly, and step by step.
Knowing your stressors doesn’t shift long term stress.
Your nervous system needs to feel safe before real change is possible - and why we focus on building stability from the inside out.

designed to educate, empower & support you
Practical tools, embodied awareness, and stress reduction strategies tailor-made for you.
In-person therapy, self-paced learning, and at-home practices
You’ll have 12 in-person therapy sessions every two weeks, with a phone check-in between each one. Alongside our sessions, you’ll receive simple weekly reading, a reflective journal to personalise your learning, and an illustrated guidebook of practices to try at home and make your own.
Sense your emotions in your body and tune into your needs
Embodiment practices teach you to tune into your emotions as they live in your body. You learn to sense into them and out of them, gently, and at your own pace. As this becomes more familiar, your nervous system begins to recognise what safety feels like, and old stress responses can start to soften.
Regulate your nervous system
We use gentle, evidence-informed body-based tools drawn from trauma-informed stabilisation, mindfulness of the body, and stress-release practices. Developed to expand capacity in your nervous system, these help you to catch stress at the first flinch, before it escalates. Your toolkit helps you to settle and stay present with your emotions, rather than be swept away by them.
Deepen your capacity to stay grounded when life’s hard
Through reflective reading, writing, and our therapy sessions, you start to notice when and how you're triggered. Tools help you pause and listen, rather than react and retreat. You learn to treat triggers as messengers, signalling that something needs your attention. As self-awareness and self-trust grow, self-blame can gradually start to decrease.
yOur journey over 24 weeks
Programme flow
Foundations - Weeks 1 & 2
We start with what stress is and how it shows up in your body. You’ll learn why your responses are not defective, but protective. Your personal stress cycle starts to make sense, and you start questioning if something is actually wrong with them, based on your context, social conditioning, and cultural environments.
Recognising Patterns & Imprints - Weeks 3 & 4
You learn why your brain’s alarm system fires before you have a conscious thought, and how your body remembers what your mind can’t recall. You’ll discover how noticing your body’s automatic reactions, and naming what you feel, can help anxiety and di-stress settle. You’ll also begin to understand emotional inheritance: how other people’s stress, beliefs, and patterns can live on in us without us realising.
From Insight to Personal Experience - Weeks 5 to 9
Here, what feel like character flaws start to make sense as intelligent protective patterns: such as how you push on when running on empty, shape-shift to keep others happy, or stay so busy you never quite have to feel your feelings. This can help contextualise that sense of a quiet disconnect that distances you from yourself - and from others.
Integration & Settling into your Self - Weeks 10 to 12
Everything you’ve learnt starts coming together. You’re developing trust in your somatic tools. You have a stress-response stabilisation plan now tailored to you. And hopefully, an expanded sense of self-trust that you can tackle life when it’s tough.
As you’re more tuned into yourself, you’re coming to feel what being settled in your Self means for you - and how to continue taking steps to meet yourself, just as you are.

In case you’re wondering …
-
It is both. Settle Into Your Self is therapy - a real, bounded therapeutic relationship with a qualified psychotherapist. It is also structured, which means each session is accompanied by a reflective reading and body-based practices. Together these offer compassionate, trauma-informed context for the work we do. The structure helps you understand what’s happening, while the therapy gives you support as you work with it.
-
Nothing at all! The programme is designed to teach you everything you need as you go - and our therapy sessions bring it all together. We scaffold learning week by week. You can arrive knowing nothing about the nervous system and leave with a working understanding of your own.
-
Somatic approaches are body-based and work with the nervous system directly. Rather than talking about stress, we work with how it lives in the body: the tension, the bracing, the flatness, the patterns that show up before you've had a single conscious thought. It is gentle, practical, and grounded in research. You don't need any prior experience of it.
-
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) works primarily with thoughts and behaviours. Talk therapy works primarily with words and narrative. Both are valuable. This programme works with where stress actually lives - in your body and nervous system. Rather than talking about how you feel, we tune into how your body is holding it. This isn't a replacement for other approaches. It's a different starting point, and for many people, the missing piece.
-
Nothing extreme and nothing you need to prepare for. Practices are gentle, evidence-based, and drawn from Trauma Release Exercises (TRE), trauma-informed stabilisation principles, and body-based mindfulness. We try everything together in session first so you feel confident before practising at home. Your illustrated guidebook walks you through each one step by step. You only keep what works for you.
-
When you join Settle Into Your Self, I reserve your therapy session time, our room, and our check-in slot for each of our 24 weeks together. This protects our work. No one else gets your spot.
Life happens, and some flexibility is built in. If you know in advance that you have holidays or commitments planned, we factor these in before we begin so there are no lengthy gaps.
Sessions that cannot be rescheduled will be charged. Where room availability makes rescheduling difficult, we may move that session online rather than lose it entirely. If life takes an unexpected turn and you need to stop mid-programme, your place is held for up to three months so you can start again when you're ready.
We discuss all of this during our chemistry call so any questions are covered before you commit to anything.
-
If you’re recovering from burnout or long-term stress, a more supported rhythm may suit you better. The same programme can run over the same period, with weekly contact instead of fortnightly sessions.
For example, we might alternate between embodiment therapy one week and somatic practice the next, so there’s more support while your capacity rebuilds.Mention this during our chemistry call and we'll work out what feels right for you. -
No, that won’t work. Settle Into Your Self is a standalone therapeutic relationship. Working with two therapists simultaneously risks creating confusion, split focus, and interference with the work you are doing in each space. If you are currently in therapy and feel ready for this work, the conversation to have is with your existing therapist first. You’ll aways be welcome if there is a space.
-
Sessions are held in a quiet, private, and comfortable room in Central London, close to Oxford Circus. It is a space designed to feel settled and contained - somewhere you can arrive, close the door, and be fully present.
-
No - sessions are not covered by health insurance to maintain complete confidentiality. If costs are a concern, the six-payment option may help so please bring this up and we’ll talk it over.
